Wrought Iron Railings
Arc Fabrications recently supplied and installed these wrought iron railings for Mr Hu in Caledonian Road, Islington, North London.
Mr Hu wanted the new railings at the front of his house to match those which were already installed at the side and we were happy to oblige.
Cast Iron Railings London
A new stone plinth was installed by other contractors, ready for us to fit Mr Hu’s new railings.

Outdoor Steel Staircase London
This galvanised steel staircase and landing was fitted this week for Susan Mitchell in West Hampstead, London.
Staircase Replacement
Mrs Mitchell’s wooden staircase and balcony were rotting and not structurally sound, making them unsafe to use.
Steel Staircase Fabrication
Arc Fabrications measured up for a new staircase and landing and fabricated all the parts in the workshop.
The wooden staircase and balcony were then removed and the galvanised steel replacements were fitted.
Galvanised Steel Balcony
The landing was made from 100mm x 50mm channel frame and infilled with galvanised open grid flooring.
Galvanised Steel Staircase
The staircase was fabricated to match the open grid steps.
Steel Handrails
Steel handrails were fitted down both sides with landing railings to match. Handrails were made from 40mm convex on the top and 40mm x 8mm flat bar on the bottom. 12mm vertical square bars set at 100mm centres make up the railings.
Galvanising Treatment
Any welding joints were treated with Zinc galvanising spray to prevent corrosion.
A galvanised finish means maintenance free.

Wrought Iron Railings London
These wrought iron railings were fabricated and installed for two customers in Clapham, south London, who are next door neighbours.
The railings are constructed from 40mm x 8 mm flat top wrought iron, with 20mm vertical bars and wrought iron heads.
Wrought Iron Gates
Wrought iron gates were also fitted to match the design of the railings

Steel Staircase Fabrication London
This outdoor steel staircase and balcony was installed last week for a client in Applegarth Road in Hammersmith, West London.
All measurements were taken onsite for fabrication in the workshop. The finished stairs and balcony were then fitted onsite.
The steel staircase and balcony provide access from back of the house down to the garden.
Steel Balcony Fabrication London
The balcony landing is size 2m x 1m and was constructed from 100mm x 50mm channel, infilled with checker plate flooring.
Steel Staircase London
The staircase has 12 treads with 3 winders, leading down to the garden, with handrails both sides.
Steel Handrails London
The steel handrails are made from 40mm convex top, 12mm vertical square bars with 100mm centres.
Balcony Railings
The railings around the balcony are the same design as those for the stairs.
All steel was finished in grey primer and black gloss.

Balustrade Railings London
These are balustrade railings fabricated by Arc Fabrications for a customer in Holland Park, London.
Balcony Railings London
After the customer made their choice of Italian design, the railings were fabricated in the workshop for fitting onsite.
The railings are constructed of forged mild steel panels with 40mm convex top, 40mm x 8mm flat bar framework.
Steel Window Grilles London
Steel window grilles were also fitted. The design was chosen by the customer and the grilles were fitted on hinges so that they can be opened or locked closed.

Spiral Staircase London
This is an outdoor steel spiral staircase and balcony landing we’ve recently fabricated and installed for a client in Maida Vale, London. It was constructed to provide rear access to the first floor of the house from the garden.
Steel Spiral Staircase Fabrication
The spiral staircase was made from 6mm durbar plate treads with 20mm vertical balusters on 100 mm centres. The handrail is made from convex channel.
Steel Balcony Landing Fabrication
The 6m landing is constructed from 125mm x 90mm pre-formed channel (PFC) frame. 90mm x 90mm angle brackets support the cantilevered balcony. The frame was in-filled with 6mm durbar plating. Railings were also fitted as shown in the pictures below.

The cage is made from 40mm x 40mm angle iron and infilled with inch inch weld mesh.
An access door was added for cleaning and drainage access.

Cast Iron Railings London, Cast Iron Gates London
The cast iron railings below were made to match neighbouring houses in Donne Place, Kensington, London.
The railings were made from 50mm x 10mm flat-top iron with 20mm vertical round bars. Finial heads were cast to match those belonging to neighbours.
The gates were made to measure. One gate was fabricated for the front door entrance and another for access to the basement via an exterior staircase, previously supplied and installed by Arc Fabrications.
