Outdoor Steel Staircase London
This galvanised steel staircase and landing was fitted this week for Susan Mitchell in West Hampstead, London.
Staircase Replacement
Mrs Mitchell’s wooden staircase and balcony were rotting and not structurally sound, making them unsafe to use.
Steel Staircase Fabrication
Arc Fabrications measured up for a new staircase and landing and fabricated all the parts in the workshop.
The wooden staircase and balcony were then removed and the galvanised steel replacements were fitted.
Galvanised Steel Balcony
The landing was made from 100mm x 50mm channel frame and infilled with galvanised open grid flooring.
Galvanised Steel Staircase
The staircase was fabricated to match the open grid steps.
Steel Handrails
Steel handrails were fitted down both sides with landing railings to match. Handrails were made from 40mm convex on the top and 40mm x 8mm flat bar on the bottom. 12mm vertical square bars set at 100mm centres make up the railings.
Galvanising Treatment
Any welding joints were treated with Zinc galvanising spray to prevent corrosion.
A galvanised finish means maintenance free.
